ThermHex will be exhibiting at the international business fair „Composites Europe“ in Stuttgart in hall 6 at stand E12 from 19 to 21 September. The honeycomb core specialist from Halle (Saale) informs about innovative new products and the unique continuous production process.

The worldwide-patented ThermHex production process for PP honeycomb cores ensures a particularly economical production of sandwich components. The high level of automation of the production allows the use of honeycomb cores even in applications, where they have not been used yet. As a result, there are significantly lower production costs compared with other competitors. ThermHex offers the PP lightweight construction material in various versions: Core thicknesses of 3.5 to 28 mm, cell sizes of 3 to 9.6 mm and densities of 60 to 120 kg/ m³ can be realized. Thus, a flexible and cost-effective use is guaranteed.

The quality of the honeycomb cores has already convinced two premium car manufacturers. In the Maserati Ghibli the honeycomb cores produced with ThermHex technology are a standard component. The vehicle will be presented at Composites Europe at the stand of ThermHex Waben GmbH. The ThermHex technology will be used as standard in a Toyota vehicle as well. The unbeatable price-performance ratio of the ThermHex honeycomb cores is becoming more and more popular. The products are successfully used in pool construction and for rigid truck boxes, too. ThermHex recently ensured two major contracts.

In addition, the honeycomb specialist has further news to announce. The company increased the sales of its polypropylene honeycomb cores by 15 per cent compared to the previous year and achieved the highest revenue in its eight-year company history in 2016/2017. Due to continuous company growth, the internationalization in Italy and the USA is also being pushed ahead. The company is also breaking new ground in research and development. In the “Innovation Summer School” ThermHex collaborates with qualified students to create the lightweight trends of tomorrow.

“We are happy to exhibit at Composites Europe for the seventh time in a row and for the opportunity to present our innovations. At the fair we always get a good overview of the industry’s trends and also a direct feedback on our innovations”, says ThermHex CEO Jochen Pflug. “Our new sample box will give visitors full insight into our product portfolio.”
