ThermHex Waben GmbH finishes the exhibition year with long travels: In autumn 2017, important national and international exhibitions were on the agenda in addition to several expert conferences. Jochen Pflug, managing director of ThermHex, draws a positive balance: “We were able to establish new contacts and address global customers. The trade fairs have shown that in today’s digital world, personal conversation is still very important. Many product samples are currently on their way to potential customers worldwide.”

At several exhibitions ThermHex presented its globally patented, continuous production process for polypropylene honeycomb cores as well as new product innovations and company updates. The appearance in Stuttgart at Composites Europe was particularly spectacular: ThermHex presented a Maserati Ghibli at its booth. The honeycomb cores produced with ThermHex technology are a standard component in this vehicle. The ThermHex technology will be used as standard in the Toyota Prius model as well.

At the Fakuma in Friedrichshafen, the honeycomb core specialist also provided interesting insights: At the joint stand of the investment and marketing company Saxony-Anhalt, visitors received comprehensive information about the smart factory of ThermHex in Halle/Saale. The continuous production process was shown in a freshly produced video.

In autumn, ThermHex Waben GmbH was also represented internationally: At the Advanced Engineering in Birmingham (UK), the largest annual meeting of experts in the field of advanced engineering technology, the focus was on the entire supply chain of the British industry. ThermHex also exhibited its polypropylene honeycomb cores at CAMX in Orlando (USA). The world’s largest event for composites and advanced materials with over 8,000 participants and 550 exhibitors marked the end of the trade fair year for ThermHex.
