Automotive experts from all over the world will gather at the Rosengarten Congress Center in Mannheim on 14 and 15 March. At the “Plastics in Automotive Engineering” congress, organized by the Association of German Engineers (VDI), manufacturers and suppliers of the automotive sector will meet to share information on current plastics applications in the fields of exterior, interior, materials and technologies. The congress is the world’s largest of its kind.
ThermHex CEO Jochen Pflug will also be present. Together with Dr. Ralf Schlimper from the Fraunhofer Institute IMWS, he speaks about the joint project for cost-efficient lightweight design in the automotive industry via thermoforming and functionalization of innovative Organosandwich structures. The lecture will take place on the first day of the congress at 5:10 pm in the Musensaal. Visitors can also look forward to presentations from BMW, Daimler, Volkswagen and Audi.
