ThermHex sets milestones – a milestone for ThermHex!

For the 26th time the Oskar-Patzelt foundation awards the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes”. Aim of the award is among others the promotion of a culture with the motto “Healthy middle class – Strong economy – More jobs”.

“Germany’s most important business prize” (isw Halle) looks at companies as a whole, more precisely in the categories: Overall development, creation/securing of jobs and training places, modernization and innovation, commitment to the region, service and customer proximity and marketing. Despite or perhaps because of the Corona pandemic, the foundation has decided to award the prize again this year. Small and medium-sized businesses are the basis of the German economy and the prize honours the successes of the entrepreneurs.

This year’s motto “Setting milestones” fits like a glove with the company ThermHex from Halle. Every day the company lives this motto: thanks to the patented production process, honeycomb cores can be produced for the first time continuously and at minimum production costs on industrial scale. The production process is considered a milestone in the composite industry for the production of core materials. Thanks to the minimal use of material, it enables considerable savings in weight and material costs as well as maximum conservation of resources. ThermHex honeycomb cores are used in truck walls, trunk floors, parcel shelves, door panels, pool construction or furniture.

In total 4970 companies were nominated for the award. Of these 553 companies have reached the jury level and ThermHex is part of it for the third year in a row.

In the next step a jury chooses three prize winners and five finalists per competition region (5 in total). Whether ThermHex is among them this year, the employees will only find out at a gala at the end of September in Düsseldorf.

Until then, the honeycomb core specialist simply continues to set milestones – for itself and its customers!
